This qualification is suitable for candidates who want to gain the skills and learn how to groom their own dogs safely or who are interested in starting a career as a dog grooming assistant. Successful candidates will know how to correctly bath, dry and prep dogs for styling including nail cutting and ear cleaning. Candidates will be introduced to the safe practices in clipping and scissoring and will be assessed in their competence in prepping dogs. To complete this course the student will do 2 days of online guided study in health and safety in a dog grooming environment, then will book 4 days of practical training days during which they will need to pass one practical assessment in bathing and drying.

The course cost includes bull nose scissors and thinning scissors and successful candidates could go on to study the the iPET Network Certificate or Diploma qualifications, and in some cases can use the Award as part of their further studies. To enquire about this course please send us an email.
