The level 3 Certificate in Dog Grooming and Intro to Styling course introduces all aspects of commercial dog grooming and sets a good foundation of understanding for anyone looking to embark on a career in dog grooming. We have a large client base for student dogs made up of a variety of breeds. To complete this qualification you will complete 15 days of practical grooming which will include two practical assessments. After a few days of theory you will groom two dogs a day so by the end of the course you will have independently groomed around 20 dogs in total. During the 15 days practical grooming you will need to pass 2 practical assessments. Upon successful completion of the practical assessments you will complete 4 days of industry experience as a dog grooming assistant in our busy salon which will count towards your guided learning hours.

All our courses usually run on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. This course includes a starter scissor set for you to keep.

 

Certificates are awarded on successful completion of the course which includes the two practical assessments, written assessments and the work experience. For anyone wishing to continue onto the diploma, the course length and cost can be deducted from the diploma in some cases.

-Promote the Welfare of Dogs Comforming with Relevant Legislation

-Assess and Plan Dog Grooming Styles and Maintenance of Equipment

-Health Checking, Handling and Canine Behaviour

Prepare, Style and Finish a Selection of Dog Breeds
